Join us for a discussion with Jacob L. Wright, author of “Why the Bible Began: An Alternative History of Scripture and Its Origins” (2023). Named as a Best Book of 2023 by The New Yorker and Publisher’s Weekly, Wright’s book will interest those who enjoy cultural and religious history.

Our presenter: Jacob Wright is a Professor of Hebrew Bible at the Candler School of Theology, Emory University and an associate faculty member at the Center for the Study of Law and Religion at Emory University. He is a graduate of the University of Missouri, Kansas City and the University of Göttingen, Germany.
