Our new Library of Things collection provides Morristown & Morris Township residents with the tools to explore a new hobby, to try something new before purchasing it, or use and return an item they’ll only need once.
Want to check for buried treasure or try a sewing project? Invite friends over to play classic video games or for an outdoor film screening, or to play bocce ball and Frisbee golf? Explore the cosmos with a telescope and the natural world with a digital microscope? Now you can borrow the gear to do this and more!
Our initial group of ‘Things’ has been expanded thanks to a generous grant from the John Bickford Foundation. New items include a thermal camera and air quality monitor to test your home’s energy efficiency, crochet and gardening kits, a badminton set, SNES Classic, and oversized Jenga.
The ‘Things’ are on view to check out in the Circulation Department. Patrons are given a portable bag containing the item and any accessories, along with a set of instructions. Things may be borrowed for fourteen days but are non-renewable and must be returned to the Circulation Desk.
