Join us for our newest film series, Directions. This collection of movies will feature biopics about famous movie directors and will be running every Thursday from September 14 – October 12, starting at 6:45pm.
The feature film for this week is “Ed Wood”, directed by Tim Burton. This movie is based on ambitious movie director Edward D. Wood Jr. as he tries to fulfil his dreams despite his lack of talent. “Because of his eccentric habits and bafflingly strange films, director Ed Wood (Johnny Depp) is a Hollywood outcast. Nevertheless, with the help of the formerly famous Bela Lugosi and a devoted cast and crew of show-business misfits who believe in Ed’s off-kilter vision, the filmmaker is able to bring his oversize dreams to cinematic life.” (RottenTomatoes)
Admission is free and films will be shown in the Library’s Meeting room in the lower level. Doors open half an hour before the film’s start and light refreshments will be served.
This series is sponsored by the Friends of the Library.
