What’s Your Story? How do you get to be on The Moth? That’s a question Oanh Ngo Usadi has heard a lot and one she will answer in this program about her journey to appear on one of NPR’s most popular radio programs and podcasts. Many have tried to get on The Moth’s stage over the course of its 15-year history (including a MMT Library staff member!), but only a few succeed. Oanh will share how she found her unique storytelling voice and forged her path to becoming a repeat guest on The Moth. This program will inspire you to find your own superpower through the traditions of storytelling and memoir.

Our Presenter: Oanh Ngo Usadi is a Morristown author who has written two critically acclaimed independently published memoirs, “Of Monkey Bridges and Banh Mi Sandwiches, from Saigon to Texas” and “Hawker Dreams: A Vietnamese American in Singapore.” Her work has appeared in The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, The Washington Post and “The Moth Anthology: Presents: “A Point of Beauty.” She has been a featured speaker at The Morristown Festival of Books, The Tucson Festival of Books and The Moth Ball.
