Come and explore the New Jersey Ballet with David Tamaki in a program sponsored by the National Society of Arts and Letters.
David Tamaki is the Executive Director of New Jersey Ballet, which was founded in 1958. Prior to transitioning to arts management, Mr. Tamaki was a principal dancer with New Jersey Ballet and was known for his performances as the Champion Roper in Agnes de Mille’s Rodeo, the Prince and Trepak in Nutcracker, Romeo in Romeo & Juliet and Le Corsair pas de deux to name a few. He is also a ballet instructor for New Jersey Ballet School. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Saint Mary’s College of California, where he graduated summa cum laude, and holds a Master of Science in Nonprofit Management from Columbia University. Mr. Tamaki also leads New Jersey Ballet’s Dancing for Parkinson’s program, which provides free weekly dance classes to individuals with Parkinson’s disease.
This program will take place in the library’s lower level Meeting Room.
