Directions Film Series: “Hugo”

Join us for our newest film series, Directions. This collection of movies will feature biopics about famous movie directors and will be running every Thursday from September 14 – October 12, starting at 6:45pm.

The first film in this series is “Hugo.” This movie is based on director George Méliès, known for such films as “A Trip to the Moon” and “The Impossible Voyage.” Hugo takes place In 1931 , where an orphan  is living in a Paris train station. “Hugo’s job is to oil and maintain the station’s clocks, but to him, his more important task is to protect a broken automaton and notebook left to him by his late father.” (IMDB)

Admission is free and films will be shown in the Library’s Meeting room in the lower level. Doors open half an hour before the film’s start and light refreshments will be served.
