The “Foreign Film Lovers Club” highlights a variety of entertaining and thought-provoking films from Europe, Latin America, Africa, Asia, and the Middle East. Our next featured film will be “The Other Son,” a 2012 film from Israel and Palestine.
How does the group work? Ahead of each meetup – generally the first and third Wednesday of each month at 7pm – you’ll watch the movie on your own through Kanopy, a movie streaming platform available free to Morristown and Morris Township cardholders (https://mmt.kanopy.com/). Then when we meet online, everyone will have a chance to talk about what we liked – or maybe didn’t like – about that night’s film. By the way: We’re all busy, so don’t worry if you’re not able to watch the film before the meeting, or watch it all the way through!
How do you attend online? We use Zoom for our meetings, which can be used via telephone or through the Zoom app, which you can download from their website or from your preferred devices App store. For meeting access info, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Looking forward to seeing you online!
P.S. If you are not a resident of Morristown or Morris Township, we invite you to join us anyway! Please check with your local library to see if it has a Kanopy subscription, and/or check www.catalog.mainlib.org
