In 2025, the world will mark the 250th birthday of Jane Austen, a literary icon who continues to entertain, delight, and inspire generations of readers. This month, dear reader, the library will be showing films directly adapted from and inspired by Jane Austen’s works.

The first week of our Jane Austen Fest is Emma-palooza! We will be showing three renditions of Emma throughout the week. The first is Emma (1996) starring Gwyneth Paltrow.

Sponsored by the Friends of the Library. The films are shown in the Library’s lower level Meeting Room at 6:45 PM. Doors open half hour before the film’s start. Light refreshments are served. Admission is free.
