Our “Pride Month Film Series” is back!

The Library has been celebrating LGBTQ+ diversity and lives through our annual “Pride Month Film Series,” now in its seventh year. This year we’ve taken the series online, meeting on June 14, 21, and 28, combining our popular Foreign Film Lovers Club and the “Real-to-Reel” documentary series.

All the films are available to watch prior to our meetings to Morristown & Morris Township cardholders through the Library’s subscription to Kanopy, a movie streaming platform (https://mmt.kanopy.com/). We’ll then come together and talk about what we liked – or didn’t like – about the films. Our featured film for 7pm Wednesday, June 28, will be “Reel in the Closet,” a movie that features never-before-seen home movies made by LGBTQ+ people dating back to the 1930s and the struggle to save those movies before they are lost forever.

Programs are open to all. For Zoom details, email james.collins@mmt.mainlib.org.

Looking forward to seeing you online!

P.S. If you are not a resident of Morristown or Morris Township, we invite you to join us anyway! Please check with your local library to see if it has a Kanopy subscription, and/or check discover.mainlib.org or www.justwatch.com for DVD and other streaming options.
