The Whippany River Watershed Action Committee was established in 1999 for stewardship of the river and its watershed which is located within 12 towns in Morris County, including Morristown-Speedwell Lake- and Morris Township. Our Presenter: Siva Jonnada is the current Chair of the Whippany River Watershed Action Committee. Previously he was the WRWAC Education and Outreach Chair. In addition, he is a member of the Morris Twp Environmental Commission and the Burnham Park Association of Morristown. Mr. Jonnada worked for 30 years as a Data Analyst for the New York Power Authority, a state-owned public electric utility. He began his career in the NYPA Environmental Division where he worked at fossil fuel, hydro and nuclear power plants. He is now heavily involved in community environmental volunteer efforts.
