Join us for our newest film series, Directions. This collection of movies will feature biopics about famous movie directors and will be running every Thursday from September 14 – October 12, starting at 6:45pm.
The feature film for this week is “Gods and Monsters”, starring Brendan Fraser and Ian McKellen.
Based on James Whale, director of “Frankenstein” and “Bride of Frankenstein” movies, lives in an uneasy retirement. “His stalwart housekeeper, Hanna, quietly disapproves of Whale’s faceless, nameless parade of young gay lovers, but when the director takes an interest in new gardener Clayton Boone, a former Marine and Korean War veteran, it seems to be for something more than his usual casual conquest.” (IMDB)
Admission is free and films will be shown in the Library’s Meeting room in the lower level. Doors open half an hour before the film’s start and light refreshments will be served.
This series is sponsored by the Friends of the Library.
