“Film Noir” is a cinematic term used primarily to describe stylish Hollywood black & white crime dramas of the 1940s to ’50s, particularly those that emphasize toughness, cynicism, amorality, & sex. In more recent decades the Film Noir tradition was paid tribute to in the movies shown in this Modern Film Noir series.

Sponsored by the Friends of the Library. The films are shown in the Library’s Meeting Room. All films shown twice at 2:00PM and 6:45PM. Doors open half hour before the film’s start. Light refreshments served. Admission is free!
