Contemporary architecture entered a new realm with the innovative contributions of Frank Gehry, a Canadian-American architect based in California. His buildings are sculptural, playful, and dynamic. His early designs were part of the California funk art movement, and his masterpieces include the Walt Disney Concert Hall in LA and the Fondation Louis Vuitton in Paris. His Guggenheim museum in Bilbao, Spain is credited with creating a new era of destination architecture that improves the economies of cities.
