The library is pleased to participate in LatinX ConeXiones, an exploration of the arts and culture of Latinx artists and communities in Morris County presented by the Arts & Culture Collaborative. As part of this collaboration and our celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, the library will feature three films from Latin America. This month’s feature is All of Me (Llévate Mis Amores), a timely and inspiring documentary from Mexico that tells the stories of Las Patronas, a group of women of humble means who, every day since 1995, have been preparing food and water and tossing them to migrants traveling north to the U.S. on a freight train nicknamed La Bestia (“The Beast”). Closely bound by family lines and faith, the women put themselves at no small risk as they stand near the tracks, hands nervously outstretched with their bags, hoping to get food into as many hands as possible without accidentally pulling someone off or getting dragged along.

All movies are subtitled in English. Light refreshments will be served.
This program supported by the Friends of the Library.
