There will be a viewing of the short film, “Quiet Denial” in the Library’s Meeting Room. In the film, an African-American woman answers the question, “What is your race?” while auditioning to study classical piano with a world-renowned concert pianist. A workshop will follow.

A fingerprint is an impression left by the friction of ridges of a human finger. Human fingerprints are detailed, nearly unique, difficult to alter, and durable over the life of an individual, making them suitable as long-term markers of human identity. The Morristown Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., invites you to “Red Print”, an exhibit of deliberate impressions through art and life.
The exhibit will feature historical photographs of African American women of Morristown. There will also be presentations of African American women educators who broke the barriers of racism and sexism to make major strides in the Morris School District.
