The library is pleased to announce the second-to-the-last movie in our 3rd Annual “Foreign Cinema Series,” featuring entertaining and thought-provoking foreign films from Europe, Latin America, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. Tonight’s feature: Longing, from Israeli director Savi Gabizon. In this film, Ariel, a well-off, middle-aged bachelor in Tel Aviv, gets a phone call from his college girlfriend. She needs to tell him a couple of very surprising things: first, when they broke up twenty years ago, she was pregnant and went on to have a lovely boy. The second thing will make Ariel explore the hidden aspects of parenthood and change his life forever.
All movies are subtitled in English. Light refreshments will be served.
This program supported by the Friends of the Library.
