Hold onto your dæmons – “His Dark Materials” premieres tonight!

Based on author Philip Pullman’s beloved fantasy trilogy, His Dark Materials follows Lyra, a brave young woman from another world. Lyra’s quest to find her kidnapped friend leads her to uncover a sinister plot of a secret organization, encounter extraordinary beings and protect dangerous secrets. The show features a star-studded cast including Dafne Keen (“Logan”), James McAvoy (“Dark Phoenix”), and Lin-Manuel Miranda (“Mary Poppins Returns”). You can watch the trailer here.

Grishaverse fans rejoice – the cast of “Shadow and Bone” is out!

On Wednesday, author Leigh Bardugo posted a photo on Instagram featuring the lead actors of “Shadow and Bone,” the Netflix-produced adaptation of her Grishaverse fantasy series. “Finally, so thrilled and proud to share the brilliant leads of Shadow & Bone, coming soon to @netflix,” Bardugo wrote. Jessie Mei Li will lead the series as Alina alongside Ben Barnes as General Kirigan. Joining the pair are Freddy Carter as Kaz Brekker, Archie Renaux as Malyen Oretsev, Kit Young as Jesper Fahey, and Amita Suman as Inej.
