2021 Board of Trustees Meetings

About the Board

The Board of Trustees of the Morristown & Morris Township Library are the community representation for our institution and have financial, policy and legal responsibilities for the Library.  They work with the Library Director and administration team to ensure the Library provides services for lifelong learning and literacy, maintains our historic building on South Street and manages our annual budget made up of tax-supported and outside funding.  Board members are appointed by the mayors of Morristown and Morris Township and serve staggered terms of office.  The Board hosts public meetings monthly to discuss any ongoing issues or projects and hosts a re-organization meeting each January (on the same day as the January board meeting) to appoint officers, swear in new trustees, determine committees, pass any needed resolutions and set the board meeting calendar for the year.
